Jim Liaw

Sr. Vice President, Financial Advisor CFF®

I started my career climbing the corporate ladder for a large retail company while in high school.  A change in company ownership forced a career change, where our family’s financial advisor at the time mentioned that I had experience dealing with corporate retail $$$ and was great working and listening to customer wants/needs, so why not give it a shot helping retail brokerage clients with theirs?

I have been in the industry now since 2000 (Olde Discount, H&R Block Financial Advisors, Ameriprise Financial Services, and currently Grove Point Financial – rebranded from H Beck)

I still enjoy helping clients with their investment-related needs after over 20 years!

Sean Cable

Sr. Vice President, Financial Advisor

As far as financial markets, Sean has seen just about everything. He began in 1987 and almost immediately experienced Black Monday on a physical trading floor in the City of London. After twelve years working with banks, insurance companies and retirement funds as clients he left Nomura Securities to live in the United States. He began with A.G. Edwards in Washington D.C. moving from there into bank advisory companies including United Bank, PNC and Citibank. Finally migrating to independent practice, Sean has found his forte helping individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. He’s a keen long-distance runner, recently completing the Marine Corps Marathon and is currently assisting with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout through the Medical Reserve Corps of Virginia.
